Julius Caeser was the dictator of the Roman Republic from the dates 49 BC to march 15 44 BC when he was assainated. Along with being the Dictator, he was one of if not the greatest millitary commander of all time. He is famous for taking over France from the Gauls. While he was never actually the Emporer due to his untimely death he is by far the most famous and prestigious leader of the Roman people.
